The Nice One + Little Friday Link-Up

You know those nice people? The ones that you just can't help but like. The ones that got your back, say nice things, are a positive force in your life (or blog world), find the silver lining in all situations.

That is how I feel about Anne.

She's just nice.

AND

She's sincere about it. It's not that fake nice or nasty nice as my friend calls it.

Truthfully, if you want to know a tidbit about Anne - read her spotlight below. BUT if you want to get to KNOW Anne - go read her blog. Her love for her family and friends just shines through. Her blog is actually the first blog I read daily - it's my daily dose of happiness and positivity.

Enough from me right?

Take it away Anne!

1. If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only take one hair product, what would you pick?

Have you seen pictures of me?  Straight, no mess, no fuss, barely-a-style hair.  I'm going with snarl spray for the sheer fact that this head of hair of mine gets snarly around salt water and ocean breezes.  Brushing it can be a beast if it is wind blown.

2. If you could describe yourself if in one picture - what would it be?

Why, you might ask, would this picture describe me?  Let me give you some background here.  It's a tradition between my friends and I that anytime one of us goes away over the summer, we invade the person's yard that goes away.  And by invade,  I mean have a little party.  We have been known to set up shop on a deck or two, drinks and hors d'oeuvres a must, party decor as well.  We may even swim in your pool and jump on your trampoline.  The most necessary part is the pictures.  You must send pictures of the party to the vacationing friend to let them know they are missed but that their hospitality is much appreciated.  If you can't handle that type of friend then we weren't meant to be friends.  This picture serves as a reminder that I not only appreciate a good time, but I also appreciate my great friends as well.

3. If you could travel to any place in the world, right now, where would you go?

If you could heavily sedate me and get me on a plane (I have a huge fear of flying) I would go back to where I honeymooned in a heartbeat, Italy.  The scenery was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and it was amazing.

4. What inspired you to start blogging?

So many other bloggers!  I had read blogs for years and I loved how they shared their daily lives with their readers.  No matter the genre; lifestyle, DIY, or fashion, I loved getting a glimpse of their lives and being able to learn something.  I also loved the fact that this space of mine could be a journal.  Years from now, my daughters can read this and see what my thoughts and views on life were.  The name of my blog was chosen to reflect this; after all my blog shares my life right here and right now.  You know what?  This life we are given is pretty amazing.  Why not share it?

(5) What are your three favorite posts?

THINK A post about learning that it's ok to vent on your blog but it may be worth your while to hold off on hitting publish.  It's all about gaining perspective.

Mason Jar Vases  I enjoyed this one because I am not really that crafty yet I was able to pull these off.  I loved the colors and the simplicity of the vases.  I see a lot of these being made as gifts in my future!

It's the Simple Things A post of the little things that cheer me up and bring a smile to my face.
